Research Requirement:

right a 2 or 3-page TopicSelection_AnxietyDisorder1.pdf Topic Selection: Anxiety Disorder For my paper next week, I would like to research Anxiety Disorder (AD). AD is classified in the DSM-5 as an anxiety disorder involving long-term, excessive, and uncontrollable worry about a variety of situations. My psychology textbook explains that people with anxiety disorders often experience nonstop tension, problems concentrating, insomnia, and constant feelings of dread even when no clear threat is present (Feldman, 2021). This makes AD an important topic because it differs from normal, everyday anxiety and significantly affects daily functioning. I selected anxiety disorders because are one of the most usal mental-health conditions, and AD in particular affects how individuals think, behave, and respond to stress over long periods. Research also shows that AD is linked to both biological and cognitive factors, making it a complex disorder to understand. For example, a study by Newman et al. (2023) notes that individuals with AD show heightened sensitivity to uncertain situations, which contributes to their ongoing worry. I'm really interested in learning more about how the disorder is diagnosed, how it will affect functioning, and the evidence-based treatments available. Overall, AD is a meaningful topic because it provides a really big opportunity to explore all the differences between the normal stress responses and clinically significant anxiety that interferes with daily life. I look forward to researching this disorder more deeply for the upcoming paper. References Feldman, R. S. (2021). Understanding Psychology. McGraw-Hill Education. Newman, M. G., Llera, S. References Intructions--.pdf Compose a 2- to 3-page paper that reviews a mental health disorder and addresses the following points: ● Introduce and describe the disorder from a psychological perspective. ● What is the DSM-5 diagnosis and code? ● Review the history of the disorder. ● Explain how the disorder may affect the person in today’s society. ● Review the stigma of the disorder. ● Describe if there is a recommended treatment for this disorder. Your paper should include and incorporate 3 scholarly sources. Your paper must be in APA Style and include in-text citations and a reference list. Your textbook can be one of the sources. attached resp12.docx Comment about this post: I believe that as society progresses adolescents and emerging adults have an increased external locus of control. This means that they put blame on outside forces on how their life is currently going. This also leads to depression and other mental illnesses because they feel like they have no control over their life. An internal locus of control is needed as well to balance these things. If you believe YOU have control over your own life it will motivate you to take risks and do things outside of your comfort zone, not what others say.

In your response, explain how you will decide between a paired samples t-test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test. This includes checking whether your pre–post difference scores meet basic assumptions (such as approximate normality) and then selecting the test that best fits your data. Is your dataset in final form? If not, what additional steps still need attention? Conside...
