Communication Themes in Negotiations

For this week's discussion, you will again need to reflect on your negotiation history and identify a negotiation experience that you consider significant. You should be selecting a different negotiation experience for each week's discussion so that you are exploring many different scenarios and applying your growing understanding of strategic negotiation to those scenarios. For example, if you have been using family-based negotiation events in Week 1 and Week 2, try using a professional (e.g., business or organization) negotiation for this week. Research Problem

Social cognition is the mental activity relating to social activities, and helps us meet the goal for understanding individuals’ behavior as well as our own. Cognitive heuristics enable us to think in ways that are quick and easy but sometimes may lead to error. Consider some of your beliefs about people you know. Do you think that your behaviors toward them lead you to maintain your expectations about them?  Next, think about a time you made a snap judgement about another person. Did your expectations about people influence your judgments of this person? Was the judgement fair or unfair?

Over the last 11 weeks, you’ve learned about multiple schools of thought in philosophy, and you’ve seen how these are alive today in the personal and professional lives of others.  Out of the following schools of thought we covered in this course (listed below), which philosophy did you relate to the most, and why? How can you use that school of thought to help you become a better problem solver? attached resp12.docx Comment about this post: I believe that as society progresses adolescents and emerging adults have an increased external locus of control. This means that they put blame on outside forces on how their life is currently going. This also leads to depression and other mental illnesses because they feel like they have no control over their life. An internal locus of control is needed as well to balance these things. If you believe YOU have control over your own life it will motivate you to take risks and do things outside of your comfort zone, not what others say.

Your example can either be from your own life or what you have observed in someone else’s life. How do you think the presence or absence of “storm and stress” in adolescence has changed in the decades since Arnett’s article was written? Do you think adolescents experience more or less “storm and stress” in current times? What impact do you think increased technology use...

Introduction - Capstone project (empirical) or review type (review)

Please help with assignment  NOTEFROMINSTRUCTOR.docx NOTE FROM INSTRUCTOR You want to make sure there are enough (E.g., at least 30??) articles empirically examining this relationship (online mental health sessions/support and benefits to mental health) before selecting it. When doing your review, be sure to pay attention to the way you need to search for articles. You must follow an iterative approach, once you decide on your general topic. Eventually you will create a research question that the review article outcomes (aka "data") can answer. webinformationwithvideo.docx Please watch and...
