attached resp6.docx Comment about this post: Hey everyone! This weeks chapter goes into information how the adolescent brain is developed for both male and female. Men tend to develop quicker than females and although our makeup may be the same our brains are completely different. I personally don't believe that either gender is smarter than the other, both genders are both equally intelligent it just may be for different things. Our brain never stays the same as we grow and get older and enter different stages of our life it is constantly changes. I truly feel like the adolescent brain is the most complex brain due to all the rollercoaster of emotions teens go through. Do you guys agree that our brain changes as we go through different stages of life?

attached resp16.docx Comment about this post: When coming into finding a bond between adolescence and their parents can be difficult. Adolescence do create this self image of being a capable adult. Which means they tend to attempt to handle personal dilemmas independently. This causes the isolation in most adolescents when being in family. Best way to create a bond with an adolescent I would say is to give trust but also set boundaries. Like allow them to go out but having a reasonable curfew. As well when personal dilemmas occur allowing them to handle it but also attempt to guide without ov...

Principle of Ethics:   St. Augustine in the 5th Century held... | Psychology

St. Augustine in the 5th Century held that we are free to make choices in life. This is the idea of free will. It may seem at first glance odd for a religious thinker to say that we have free will. After all, if God exists, then God created all things. God knows already what we will do. God can cause anything to occur. If we cause things to occur, that seems to be a limitation on the power of God and not make God all-powerful. There are also religion traditions that say that we have no free will. There are some theologians in Islam who seem to suggest that is true. In order for this line of re...

Program Impact Vision  If the Tides Family Services EOS program were highly successful, clients and families would demonstrate sustained emotional stability, improved functioning at home and school, and reduced reliance on crisis or emergency psychiatric services. Success would mean youth are maintaining behavioral symptom control, caregivers feel confident managing crises, and clients remain in the least-restrictive, community-based settings (Friedman et al., 2014). Ultimately, success would reflect strengthened family systems, consistent school engagement, and long-term positive developmenta...

attached resp22.docx Comment about this post: It was interesting to learn in this chapter that there were fewer behavioral issues and higher academic achievements from a two school model. I personally did not mind a three school model, but I didn't experience the two school model. The transition period in between schools no matter the grade or age will still always be a little uncomfortable. For me personally, I think the transition going into high school was a bit more overwhelming.
