Exploring your big 5 personality traits

Research Requirement:

Scenario Your friend mentioned his company will be hiring new employees soon, and they want to select the best personality types for each open position. Before they can make hiring decisions, they have asked for your help to understand the Big Five trait theory, Allport’s dispositional theory, and Eysenck’s biologically based factor theory. They want to be able to consider these theories when hiring. You’ve decided to create a presentation that uses your understanding of your own personality to help your friend and their colleagues understand the various theories. Assignment Preparation Take the Big Five Personality Test to obtain a free basic report of your personality traits. You will use the results of this test in this assignment.  Review the following topics in your Theories of Personality textbook:  Allport’s theory of 3 personal disposition levels (Ch. 12, pp. 385–388)  Eysenck’s biologically based factor theory, particularly the overview of biologically based trait theory (Ch. 14, pp. 437–438), the hierarchy of behavior organization (Ch. 14, pp. 442–443), and dimensions of personality (Ch. 14, pp. 443–444) Assignment Deliverable Create a 5- to 8-slide presentation using Canva or Microsoft PowerPoint. Address the following in your presentation: Outline your Big Five test results, including your overall scores for each of the factors (Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness to Experience, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness). Based on your awareness of your own personality (and perhaps your Big Five results), identify what you think Allport’s dispositional theory might propose as your cardinal, central, and secondary dispositions. Briefly compare the Big Five to Eysenck’s theory. Briefly compare Allport’s dispositional theory to Eysenck’s theory. Conclude by recommending the theory that you feel would be most helpful in determining the best alignment between personality and career.
