I think you are off to a good start! One thing to keep in mind is that there may be other factors involved besides just ice cream and crime. The third factor is actually a thing that you mentioned, the weather. This is the third variable. Because there is a third variable involved, the idea of ice cream and crime causing each other cannot be true. This is due to correlation but not causation of the two initial variables.REPLY
