175 words each  Post 1 Hello, everyone! Having a 3D world can have both positive and negative effects on our society. The first positive is that people that live in different areas of the world can communicate in a way that is the closest to being face to face. Being in the metaverse, everyone has a character, and your character is able to get close to and talk to other characters. The second positive is that things like the metaverse can allow for an escape from reality which can help to raise mental health. The first negative is that some people may end up preferring using virtual worlds rather than communicating in person with others in the real world. The second negative is that people may begin to feel unattached to the real world which can cause social drawbacks. I think having a digital world will open new windows for false advertisements and fake news just as it is now. There may be less exposure to the fake news and advertisements in the digital world, but they may still be present. Reference: The Metaverse Post 2 A 3D world like the metaverse could change how we connect with people. In a 3D world, we could meet our friends or coworkers as avatars, even if they live far away. This might help us feel closer to people online, because it feels more like being in the same room. It could also make some people spend less time talking to others in real life. If people stay in the 3D world too long they might miss out on real-world friendships and activities. We got a glimpse of this when COVID first started and everything was virtual, it really affected people skills. A 3D world could also change how we see information. Ads could pop up all around us, like on walls or signs in the virtual world. This might make them harder to ignore. Fake news could also feel more real, because the 3D world can make anything look true, even if it is not. People will have to be very careful and check if information is correct before believing it. At the same time, learning could become more fun, because we could explore places in 3D instead of reading about them. According to an article by Meta (2021), the metaverse is meant to create a more “real” and shared online space. This shows how powerful and life like digital worlds might become. Reference  Meta. week 5 discussion

The science of psychology has steadily been moving more toward a biological basis during the early 20th century but researchers found that it really didn't explain all the nuances of human behavior. One of the more famous experiments is the Pavlov dog experiment, which described unconditioned and conditioned responses. James Watson went one step further describing behavior from what then emerged as Behaviorism. It was B.F. Skinner that shaped Behaviorism into its current state, through research on operant conditioning. Behaviorism still didn't provide all the answers; psychology continues to e...

attached resp9.docx Comment about this post: Hey everyone, Hope everyone has had a great week so far. I personally have really enjoyed reading this weeks material. Many people may like to say that emerging adulthood is the most difficult, I disagree. Although it is a confusing stage due to you growing up and figuring out how to have a stable adulthood that doesn't make it the most difficult stage. In the ted talk Mr. Jeffrey had mentioned that time has changed and he is absolutely right the way people are think and act has changed over years. I love how he states that both men and women lea...
