Once your video is created in Flipgrid, you will then post the video/link in the DB thread located in the Discussion Board tab. You will also need to go in and respond to at least 2 peers as you normally would but you will do that through Flipgrid as well. The Assignment Young children begin the process of learning to read and write long before they enter formal school. Research shows that children who enter Kindergarten with specific kinds of knowledge and skill are more likely to become successful readers and writers. One of the aspects of promoting reading and writing skills is to create a literacy rich environment for young children.    Before beginning your DB submission- watch the video included in the module: Literacy Rich Environments and read our text, chapter 12. Once you have viewed the video- choose 2 strategies/ideas from the video that you would like to implement into your early childhood classroom. Each of the 2 strategies should be discussed and include an explanation as to why you chose that strategy, how it will promote literacy and how you will implement it in the classroom.
